| IN TIME ON BUDGET TO SPEC |
A high degree of project supervision by suitably trained project management staff is essential to ensure actions on the ground meet the expectations and planned progress towards completion.
The range of disciplines and expertise available through a single organisation ensures a one stop approach to meeting the needs to controlling any project. The close co-operation existing amongst the engineers at PSL makes it easy for any resource needed to be tapped on demand.
With the aid of the latest planning software tools available we can easily meet your planning needs for a plethera of applications at many levels within in your organisation.
Wether you need a project plan to design, build, test and certify the controls of a flight deck, or a programme plan for the production of three container ships or a strategic corporate plan for your project based organisation we have the answer.

Project Planning
Project planning at PSL goes beyond the production of a schedule. We will also advise you on the level of planning required for your application and the frequency with which your plan should be tracked. For example a client who is about to embark on build of a kit hovercraft may need to know how long it will take and then regularly track their progress. In the event that the project does not proceed as planned they may need some further suggestions on how to keep on track.
A client who requires a project plan for the design, procure, build and test of a multi million dollar flight simulator may need resourced planning and tracking schedules at modular, sub assembly and project management levels. Plans could include subcontract resources, risks to critical path and contingency plans to buffer project risk and Earned Value reports.
Programme Planning
If you have to deliver multiple number of products to the same customer then we can plan for delivery to customer rather than just delivery of a single project. This has the advantage of reducing the cost per production, better foresight of potential problems and a greater ability to mitigate risk. This service is suited to clients that may need to deliver some class of ships or aircraft variants. By builidng basline generic design for the first projects and then upgrading and re-baslining future projects we can ensure all planning knowledge is retained for the entire course of the programme.

Corporate Planning
If you are about to set up new product lineand you will need to know how best to do it. With the aid of our planning software we can plan whole production lines, wether it is somthing as simple as a wind turbines or as complex as motorsport race cars we devise yearly production plans to ascertain the viability of your idea. Providing you with revenue and profit projections we can provide the data for your business plans and advice on potnential size of investment.
Is your company so sucessful that you have too many customers. Does your client portfolio need managing? If your fortunate enough to be in the position of too many customer not enough employees you will find yourself faced with the difficult decission of which contracts to accept. Through understanding your current work portfilio and taking into account proposed work we can accurately plan a number of scenarios so you can be better informed when choosing your clients.

- Component design – Produce 3D designs and 2D drawings of individual components, following the design from concept to production.
- Assembly Design – Produce a complete assembly of all components in 2D and 3D, to give a visual check that all parts will assemble before production.
- Retro-Fitting – This involves investigating the possibility of fitting an alternative component or assembled unit into an existing system within the 3D environment, and to design or modify the existing components to enable the installation.
- Routing – Using the local design environment of an installation, route in the supplies needed, such as airlines, water or cooling pipes, fuel lines, lubrication lines etc.
- Packaging – Using the local design environment, find a position to install the 3D assembly or system, i.e, steering system, suspension system etc.
- DMU (Digital mock-up) – Build up the complete 3D installation of all systems built together in position, enabling an overview of the entire environment, i.e, an engine bay, complete with engine, gearbox, cooling system, steering system, wiper system, etc.
Clash analysis – Within the completed 3D installation, use the CAD system software to measure for clearance or collisions between neighbouring parts using a minimum clearance criteria.
